Industry Veteran to Help Manage Growth of Open Source Database Leader
CUPERTINO, Calif. - MySQL AB, developer of the world's most popular open source database, today announced the appointment of Dennis P. Wolf as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Based in the company's Silicon Valley headquarters and reporting to CEO Marten Mickos, Wolf is responsible for MySQL's worldwide finance, internal IT, accounting, HR, legal, and administrative operations.
Wolf has over 25 years of experience managing finance and operations for high-growth technology companies. Prior to joining MySQL AB, he was managing director and CFO of Hercules Technology Growth Capital, a provider of debt and equity growth capital to technology and life sciences companies. While there, he took the company public on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Previously, Wolf held CFO and senior executive positions at Omnicell, Redback Networks and Credence Systems Corporation. He has also served in executive management roles at Sun Microsystems and Apple Computer. He currently sits on the board of directors of Vitria Technology and Komag, Incorporated.
Wolf earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver.
