Red Hat Linux 7 includes MySQL

The MySQL database has been included in the release of Red Hat Linux 7, the latest version of the world's most widespread open source server operating environment, which was released this week. This was made possible due to the release of MySQL under the GPL license in June 2000.

"MySQL is already the most used database in the Linux world, and we expect the Red Hat Linux 7 release to strengthen our position even more", says Michael "Monty" Widenius, CTO of MySQL AB.
