What's New in MySQL Cluster 5.1

MySQL Cluster began as a high-performance, scalable, clustered database developed for some of the world's most demanding applications, like those typically found in the telecommunications industry, where the database's availability needs to approach 99.999% uptime. Since MySQL Cluster's introduction in late 2004, new feature sets have been steadily introduced into the product which have broadened its appeal for new application use-cases, markets and industries. MySQL Cluster is now being adopted not only as a database for traditional telecom applications, it is now also being widely deployed for VOIP, internet billing, session management, eCommerce sites, search engines and even traditional back office applications.

In this presentation we will explore in technical detail the new features which have been introduced in MySQL Cluster 5.1 which, not only strengthen it's reputation for high performance, scalability and reliability, but also for it's ability to dramatically lower TCO and offer the ability to leverage a "scale-out" methodology using commodity hardware and open source components.
