Motorola includes MySQL in their developers' toolkit for the iDEN handset network system. The system will allow users to wirelessly access information from host servers through "always on", handheld devices. MySQL AB will offer support to iDEN developers.

NEC

NEC America, Inc. uses MySQL® to power the newest version of its Global Navigator management information system. Global Navigator is a complete turnkey monitoring system for tracking call activity and agent performance across single or multiple contact center operations, delivering enterprise-wide contact center management. In NEC's Global Navigator, MySQL is the central data management hub that stores and manages all calling activity and other vital statistics.

Sterling Commerce

Sterling Commerce ships MySQL as a back-end database that may be used with Sterling Commerce's popular Gentran Integration Suite, which provides an intelligent messaging gateway for Business-to-Business, EDI and Enterprise Application Integration.

SS8 Networks

SS8 Networks, an IP signaling and services provider introduced the industry's first fully IP-based local number portability (LNP) product, enabling phone carriers to satisfy government regulations without the need for expensive and proprietary circuit-switched technology. A critical piece of the SS8 LNP solution is its database, which must manage all the names of people -- up to 50 million records -- who have switched carriers, with corresponding tracking information. SS8 Networks selected MySQL as the database of choice to play this important role.
